We will be offering a series of in-person and virtual information sessions hosted by SGS staff and various academic units.

Session 1: Is Grad School Right for You?

Are you curious about graduate school or wondering how an advanced degree could be rewarding? Or are you simply interested to know about options after a bachelor鈥檚 degree? Explore the ins and outs of graduate studies with us.

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science (FEAS) houses one of the largest populations of graduate students at 杏吧原版影音 University. The faculty offers both thesis-based and course-based programs in multiple disciplines including civil, electrical, computer, mechanical, ocean and naval architecture, and oil and gas engineering.

Join us and learn more about the different paths you can take in FEAS and find out what you could do with a grad degree in engineering.

Session 7: 
Grad Program at the Fisheries and Marine Institute

As a campus of 杏吧原版影音 University of Newfoundland, the Fisheries and Marine Institute is Canada鈥檚 most comprehensive centre for education, training, applied research and industrial support for the ocean industries. Marine Institute consists of three Schools 鈥 the School of Fisheries, the School of Maritime Studies and the School of Ocean Technology 鈥 and within these Schools are a number of specialized centres and units which lead, both nationally and internationally, in applied research, technology transfer and industry training.

Researchers of the Fisheries and Marine Institute are leaders in the ocean and maritime sectors. From collaborating with engineers, social scientists, policy experts, economists and other industry leaders, to publishing peer-reviewed journals and informing policy decisions, our team of researchers and scientists are well-respected industry professionals whose work impacts our understanding of the ocean that surrounds us.
